Fusing together poetry, music, and story in a mesmerizing live performance, Kunqu is a classic and elegant form of traditional Chinese theatre, included on UNESCO’s list of intangible cultural heritage. Carefully curated by Kunqu Society, the program showcases a colorful and entertaining selection of music, singing, and dramatic pieces from the Kunqu repertoire to celebrate the season of fall. Japanese history will also be highlighted with the promotion of the story of Chuine Sugihara, titled the Visa of Life.
