Stress Snacking? Here’s A (Sneaky) Way To Eat Healthier

If you’re like me, you’re out of pandemic snacks (if I’m honest, it was a few days ago).

To stay healthy (and sane) we need nutrients. It’s more important than ever to eat our fruits and veggies (even when we’d rather have chips and chocolate).

Romaine calm, nutritious and tasty Pure Synergy fruit and veggie powders can help bump up nutrition when you end up WFF (working from fridge):

Don’t Carrot All? Mac and cheese for dinner (and breakfast – no judgment)? Just add some Organic Carrot Powder for peace of mind (and a rich source of antioxidants).
Stay Up-Beet: Get an energy boost from Organic Beet Powder by adding it to some brownie mix. The naturally-sweet powder supports a healthy heart and liver and gives you essential antioxidants.
Easier than Algae-bra: Adding a scoop of Pure Synergy’s Organic Blue-Green Algae to pasta sauce provides extra energy while supporting overall health. The beautiful blue/green sparkling powder also enhances mental clarity and focus.

We know, just thinking about ‘healthy’ can be overwhelming during stressful times. And, we need easy ways to work these needed nutrients into our lives to support our overall well-being. And during these trying times, we need to be well.

Immunity is Key

The Best Adult Men’s and Women’s Multi-Vitamin for Keeping Your Immunity High Through a Coronavirus Quarantine

With news constantly evolving regarding the Coronavirus, what is clear is that immunity is a key factor in how the disease affects our bodies. This means that maintaining our health is more important now, than ever. While there is no magic remedy to prevent or protect us from COVID-19, adult men and women should take a daily immunity-booster to ensure that their immune systems are healthy. In fact, a daily multivitamin can be one of the simplest ways to boost your health so that if any flu-like virus spreads to your community, your body is able to properly fight it off. Knowing which vitamin to choose among the many available options can be confusing, and it’s hard to be clear on which products truly work in the ways we need them to during this time.

Rootd has made things simple for us. A blend of 25 unique vitamins, minerals and super greens, with ingredients sourced for high bio-absorption, and no sugars, chemicals or additives. In fact, sugar is a key factor that reduces immunity, meaning that products like gummy multis and brands like Emergen-C which pack their product with sugars could be doing far more harm than good. Choosing the correct multivitamin means finding one for you that has the right balance of nutrients to ensure that your body is getting everything it needs, and without additives that do more harm than good.

Here is a list of the best immune boosting vitamins which Rootd has packed into their sugar-free delicious drink:

Vitamin C is one of the biggest immune system boosters of all. In fact, a lack of vitamin C can even make you more prone to getting sick. Foods rich in vitamin C include oranges, grapefruits, tangerines, strawberries, bell peppers, spinach, kale and broccoli. Daily intake of vitamin C is essential for good health because your body doesn’t produce or store it.

Vitamin B6 is vital to supporting biochemical reactions in the immune system. Vitamin B6-rich foods include chicken and cold-water fish, such as salmon and tuna. Vitamin B6 also is found in green vegetables and in chickpeas, which is the main ingredient in hummus.

Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that helps the body fight off infection. Foods rich in vitamin E include nuts, seeds and spinach.

Vitamin D can modulate the innate and adaptive immune responses. Deficiency in vitamin D is associated with increased autoimmunity as well as an increased susceptibility to infection.

Zinc keeps the immune system strong, helps heal wounds, and supports normal growth.

Vitamin A is a micronutrient that is crucial for maintaining vision, promoting growth and development, and protecting epithelium and mucus integrity in the body. It is known as an anti-inflammation vitamin because of its critical role in enhancing immune function.

To add a healthy, daily multivitamin to your quarantine routine, simply visit rootd.com – bonus: no more vitamin pills to choke down, which means one less hassle during these troubling times.

ABOUT BODY KITCHEN

Body Kitchen isn’t just any collagen powder. It is fortified with di-peptides, 39x the concentration of any other collagen on the market. Di-peptides (Hyp-Proline and Hyp-Glycine) are incredibly rare, less than 0.1% of every 100g of regular collagen, but they are amazingly powerful. Not only do they stay in the body longer, they’ve been proven to have a more powerful effect in rejuvenating and re-energizing our cells. Working with Japanese scientists, Body Kitchen was able to learn and use their latest cellular technology to be the 1st to fortify collagen with Di-peptides. In addition, what really makes the difference is the body’s ability to absorb and synthesize the boosted collagen. Body Kitchen is infused with Blackcurrant extract to increase its absorption and efficacy in the body. The result is a powerful and patent-pending, clinically proven collagen with whole body effects and more cell-activating power than any regular collagen on the market.

Eat Live Thrive Diet

Multi-faceted Approach To Total Health Transformation Invites Women On A Lifestyle Journey Designed To Rev Up Their Midlife Metabolisms, Achieve Physical, Emotional Freedom

San Diego, CA, July 15, 2019 — Co-authors and well-known health and lifestyle coaches Danna Demetre, R.N., 67, and Robyn Thomson, A.C.W.P., 53, of the widely popular website, Lean Healthy Ageless, invite every woman on a lifestyle journey who has believed the lie that her best body, health and life are in the past.

In their new practical, science-based book Eat, Live, Thrive Diet: A Lifestyle Plan to Rev Up Your Midlife Metabolism (March 2019, WaterBrook, a division of Penguin Random House), Demetre and Thomson offer understanding, encouragement and hope as they share personal experiences of battling weight gain and emotional eating in order to help others transform their lives, especially with age.

Demetre and Thomson unravel the mystery of why women gain weight as they age and offer a sustainable plan to permanently lose pounds and inches. Together they explore the question, “What if there was a way to turn back the scale and the clock with an inspiring lifestyle plan designed to help women rev up their midlife metabolisms and achieve physical and emotional freedom even as they age?”

Demetre and Thomson reveal, “The Eat Live Thrive Diet addresses the whole woman – body, soul and spirit. It takes a multi-faceted approach to total transformation. We focus on changing habits from the inside out and do not offer a one-size-fits-all approach. Our diet allows women to customize their long-term eating plan to address their specific food sensitivities, carbohydrate thresholds, and personal likes and dislikes. We promote ‘progress over perfection’ and emphasize that it is the small steps that they take consistently that will add up to big results.”

Furthermore, Demetre and Thomson also note that even though about 30 percent of a woman’s health and vitality is out of her control due to her genetics and gender, such as genetic predispositions to certain diseases or metabolic challenges and various hormonal shifts throughout the years—the good news is that 70 percent is in her control. That 70 percent is her lifestyle, which makes a much bigger impact on a woman’s future than she thinks.

Whereas most diets are short-lived or require substantial upkeep, Eat, Live, Thrive Diet is a viable eating plan that can be adhered to indefinitely. This three-phase nutritional journey allows each individual to personalize her own story of transformation, learning not only how to successfully lose weight safely, but also how to improve overall health and energy in critical areas such as brain function, disease prevention and slowing down the aging process. The book also highlights health risks and drawbacks of many popular fad diets that can be harmful on a long-term basis.

Key content from this inspiring lifestyle plan includes:

• Three-phase plan:

The Elimination Phase – temporary elimination of several key foods known
to promote insulin resistance and cause allergies, sensitivities, and
inflammation
The Discovery Phase – determine which foods are troublesome for you
The Lifestyle Phase – design an ideal long-term eating plan that accommodates your specific needs and preferences

• God-centered principles, such as renewing the mind, to prepare for lasting change both physically and spiritually

• Delicious recipes, healthy shortcuts and tips for food substitutions designed to easily adopt and sustain a healthy lifestyle

“I only wish it had not taken me decades to figure out the healthiest way to balance my body, soul and spirit in a way that honored God and promoted lasting change,” says Demetre. “I’m here to share that there is a path to freedom! I’ve experienced lasting weight loss and health for over 30 years and believe you can realize the same results if you follow our program and commit to changing your habits in God-honoring ways.”

Together, Demetre and Thomson shout from the rooftops that “a woman’s best years ever can be ahead of her when she puts the Eat, Live, Thrive Diet and Lifestyle plan into action!”
