ABOUT THE GALA

Please join us to celebrate NSA’s tremendous contributions to arts education at our 40th Anniversary Ruby Gala on March 10, 2018 at the Red Rock Hotel Casino Resort & Spa. Our Ruby Gala will feature world renowned performers. NSA Encore Recipient Frankie Moreno, NSA Jazz Artist-in-Residence and Las Vegas headliner Clint Holmes, pianist “The Hands of Liberace” Philip Fortenberrry, international violinist and pedagogue Brian Lewis, NSA 2018 Encore Recipient Christy Molasky and many more surprise guests.

EVENT SCHEDULE

GENERAL RECEPTION 5 pm: Join us in the Veranda Room, where Ruby’s will twinkle in the majestic daylight! Guests will enjoy performances from NSA’s talented students, cocktails and indulge yourself in the Silent Auction, while over looking the majestic view of Red Rock Canyon. Photo opportunities with special guests and potential exposure to media are included in the expereince.

DINNER – 7 pm: Eat, Drink, and Shine like a Ruby! Guests will be seated in preparation for dinner service commencing with a ruby themed chilled salad. Main entrée includes a vegetarian option.

SILENT AUCTION CLOSES – TBD

HONOREE RECOGNITION – TBD

NSA CONCERT EXTRAVAGANZA – 8 pm: The evening will close with an amazing concert extravaganza with performances by NSA’s Students, faculty and alumni to include: 2018 Encore Recepeint Christy Molasky, past Encore Recepients and supporters of NSA, Frank Moreno, Clint Holmes, Philip Fortenberry, and Kenny Rampton.

Casino Night at Ronald McDonald House

We would like to invite you to a most memorable evening with Children’s Happy Faces Foundation at our signature Casino Night where you will find the best mobile slots, gambling techniques and learn how slots work. Location will again be at our fine host Peter Vulai’s classic first-rate establishment Fino Wall Street Ristorante. As always, we will be offering the best services, our guests will have the option to get as many beverages as they want during the night, we will also have many games available for all of the gamblers coming, big prizes and great food. Just as a reminder, as if it wasn’t obvious, this event will be for adults only, please don’t come with kids, even though the event is meant to collect money for children, the environment won’t be appropriate for them. The event opens at 6:30pm with fine Fino Italian pass-around feast, a LIVE Jazz Quartet, chair massages provided by Oasis Day Spa, and Fur Show by “Not Just Mink.”

Our previous events held at Fino’s continue to be the talk around town and why wouldn’t they be, especially when one can do good even while we enjoy a casino atmosphere playing agen domino qq, feast on scrumptious Italian food on Wall St., drink fine wine while listening to Live Jazz and just enjoying the overall scenery. On Thursday, March 9, 2017, the 14th Street Y will host its 2017 PURIM Gala at the Angel Orensanz Foundation, 172 Norfolk Street, NYC with Cocktails at 6pm and Dinner & Entertainment at 7pm.

Purim is one of the most joyous and fun holidays on the Jewish calendar. Celebrated with feasts, drink and revelry, it celebrates standing up for what you believe in and calls us to honor others through giving gifts and charity.

The 14th Street Y 2017 PURIM Gala will feature one-of-a kind live art and performances: Purim, as told by acclaimed acrobatics company Cirque-tacular, a special performance by children from the 14th Street Y After School, live music by the Bridget Robbins Trio, body Art by Sheila Jordan and more. Specialty food and drink will be offered, including aerial silks-acrobat champagne service; a Purim cocktail designed by The Surf Lodge’s own mixologist; sweet treats from Dylan’s Candy Bar and custom hamantashen and other baked goods by noted Manhattan & Brooklyn bakeries Colson Patisserie, Mah Ze Dahr Bakery, Orwashers and Zucker Bakery. The event will also feature exclusive artwork from the 14th Street Y’s innovative arts fellowship program LABA: A Laboratory for Jewish Culture, children in the 14th Street Y’s early childhood programs and more.
