Dr. Rupy Aujla – The Doctors’s Kitchen
Dr. Rupy Aujla started ‘The Doctor’s Kitchen’ – a project to inspire patients about the beauty of food and the medicinal effects of eating well.

“Dr. Rupy is part of the new generation of physicians teaching people that food is medicine.”
— Dr. Mark Hyman, MD

In 2011, Dr. Aujla helped overcome his own medical problem by diving into the research and figuring out how lifestyle impacted his condition. He realized that patients could benefit from a doctor explaining the evidence-based benefits of healthy living, which is exactly what he does. Through a holistic view of the body and mind, combined with conventional medical practice, we can achieve great things.

Not only does he create delicious recipes on his website and social media channels including Instagram, Facebook and YouTube, Dr. Aujla also talks about the amazing clinical research behind the ingredients he uses.

He has two best-selling cookbooks published by Harper Collins: ‘The Doctor’s Kitchen’ and his second book ‘Eat to Beat Illness’; which was released in the United Kingdom in March 2019 and is soon to be released in the US in September this year, and quickly become a UK Sunday Times Bestseller.

Estuary Brasserie and Bar

Drawing inspiration from its unique vantage point on the Brooklyn Bridge Park waterfront, Estuary at ONE°15 offers a relaxed vibe with simple dishes that are expertly prepared from land, air and sea.

Executive Chef Danny Brown serves globally inspired brasserie-style dishes with a marina flair, featuring fresh seafood, meat and vegetables with a focus on simplicity, accessibility and quality. The menu highlights three variations on tartare as well as tarts, sandwiches and burgers, and seasonal salads. The restaurant also boasts a standalone raw bar with an extensive menu that takes cues from the marina, including locally-sourced oysters from Long Island’s Peconic Bay.

Estuary has tapped James Beard Award-winning chef Francois Payard to serve as Culinary Director, who uses his decades of pastry experience to create inventive dessert selections. Among the highlights is a new take on large format and single-serve old-fashioned layered celebration cake, including playful twists on traditional favorites like White Chocolate Strawberry & Fruit Loops, Caramelia Milk Chocolate, Bittersweet Crunchy Chocolate and Old Fashion Brooklyn Cheese Cake.

A 28-seat U-shaped, wraparound cocktail bar serves aperitivos, local craft beer on tap, and classic cocktails showcasing Brooklyn craft distilleries and breweries. To supplement the bar offerings, Olivier Flosse’s curated wine list features 24 different labels to choose from, largely from France, Italy and the United States.

For park goers wanting to enjoy the outdoors, al fresco drinking and dining is available on Estuary’s private terrace, with stunning, panoramic views of the lower Manhattan skyline and the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. The brasserie and bar is located across from Pier 5 at the ONE°15 Brooklyn Marina, Brooklyn’s gateway to New York Harbor, adjacent to Brooklyn Bridge Park.
