Leesa Rowland and Dara Sowell co-chaired  the Last Chance for Animals (LCA) Annual NYC Fundraiser at Rosina’s restaurant (1690 York Ave, New York, NY 10128) on Sunday, September 18. Speakers included LCA founder Chris DeRose, actress and animal activist Shannon Elizabeth, Live Nation Chairman Ron Delsener.  Guests were shown a PSA given by Edie Falco regarding LCA’s undercover investigation into the inhumane treatment of New York Horse & Carriage trade.

The sold-out event began with cocktails and passed vegan hors d’oeuvres and ended with an amazing vegan dinner that was donated by Rosina Restaurant on the Upper East Side. During the dinner, Chris DeRose spoke about his organization’s many campaigns and investigations including Chinese dog slaughterhouses, South Korea Officials working with Chris DeRose to bring attention and eventual closure to South Koreas dog meat trade, LCA working in Virunga Africa to support the rangers protecting the mountain Gorilla’s including LCA donating a state of the art plane to aid the Rangers.

Boardy Barn Benefit

The Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation is throwing their 7th Annual Benefit at the Boardy Barn.

Music by Second Shift. There will be a Chinese Auction, 50-50 Raffle, and Silent Auction, plus Door Prizes.Hamptons

Buffet Dinner / Cash Bar

Guests are asked to bring a donation of Dog or Cat Food for the SASF food pantry.
