Lisa Dahl: Blessed By Grace shares the inspiring journey of chef and restaurateur Lisa Dahl, who turned personal tragedy into a thriving culinary career in Sedona, Arizona. After the devastating loss of her son Justin, who was murdered in the 1990s while helping someone in need, Lisa found healing through cooking. In 1995, she moved to Sedona and opened her first restaurant, Dahl & DiLuca, as a tribute to their shared love of cooking. Over the next nearly 30 years, she expanded her business to six acclaimed restaurants, each dedicated to preserving Justin’s memory.

Set against the majestic red rocks of Sedona, Lisa Dahl: Blessed By Grace offers a heartfelt look at Lisa’s resilience, spirituality, and passion for cooking, which has brought comfort and joy to so many while keeping her son’s memory alive.

National Catholic Prayer Breakfast 2025, 2-27-28

The National Catholic Prayer Breakfast (NCPB) was established in 2004 in response to Saint John Paul II’s call for a New Evangelization. Each year, over 1,500 people gather in our nation’s capital to pray for our country. An impressive list of speakers highlights a program that attracts lay and religious leaders, national figures, Catholic apostolates, and guests from a variety of sectors and backgrounds. The event is non-partisan, and anyone is welcome to attend. Several side-events are offered each year to further enhance the spirit of the gathering.

White House Easter Egg Roll

The White House Easter Egg Roll is a popular event hosted by the White House. The South Lawn of the White House is filled with exciting activities for the whole family, including storytime, games, live entertainment, and the traditional Easter Egg Roll. The 2024 White House Easter Egg Roll will be held on Monday, April 1, 2024.

Apply Through the Online Lottery to Attend
The lottery runs from Monday, February 26, 2024 at 12pm ET through Monday, March 4, 2024 at 12pm ET. Apply through Recreation.gov. Winners will be notified via email on Monday, March 11, 2024.

History of the Egg Roll
In the 1870s, Capitol Hill had become a popular spot for children to roll eggs – and themselves – down the hill on Easter Monday. As the event grew more popular, the toll on the grounds was noticeable. In 1876, Congress passed a law forbidding the Capitol grounds to be used as a children’s playground. In 1878, President Rutherford B. Hayes issued an order that if any children should come to the White House to roll their Easter eggs, they would be allowed to do so. The tradition has been carried on since, and has grown into the major event you can experience today. 9th Annual Sun Whiskey Union Returns to Mohegan Sun, 4-19

WHAT: Guests are invited to experience the art of whiskey at the 9th Annual Sun Whiskey Union, where the proof is in the pour! This year’s festivities also include a special Spirits & Cigars event inside the Clay Pipe Cigar Bar.

IN DETAIL: On Saturday, April 19th, from 8:00pm-11:00pm, the Earth Ballroom is set to transform into a connoisseur’s paradise, offering an exquisite selection of top-shelf whiskey, scotch, bourbon and rye at the 9th Annual Sun Whiskey Union. Engage with distillery representatives and delight in live music from Locals Live 2024 contestant Mad Hatter Band. Complimentary, mouthwatering bites like Maple Bourbon Pulled Chicken Sliders from House of BBQ & Bacon and delectable, alcohol inspired treats like The Beast from NoRa Cupcake Company which features chocolate cake, cognac caramel filling, and chocolate frosting are included in every ticket purchase.

Guests who attend Sun Whiskey Union can stop by the Mohegan Sun Online Casino Signature Cocktail Bar featuring Phil Wills from Bar Rescue and Dimitrios “The Cocktail Chemist” Zahariadis. Sea of Ink: Savannah Maritime Tattoos will identify and explore tattooing along the Georgia coast.

Ships of the Sea will unveil Sea of Ink: Savannah Maritime Tattoos, an extraordinary exhibit showcasing the art and cultural significance of tattoos. Featuring more than a dozen Savannah-area tattoo artists and over 30 maritime tattoo collectors, Sea of Ink highlights tattoos as a meaningful art form and cultural movement.

With one-third of American adults having at least one tattoo, this visual language is rich for exploration. Sea of Ink presents the tattoo not just as body art, but as a powerful instrument for storytelling. Tattoos tell stories that often are deeply meaningful to the collector, and are a result of an artistic understanding between the tattoo creator and the collector.​​​

St. Patrick’s Regatta, 3/22

The Geechee Sailing Club is the proud host of the annual St. Patrick’s Regatta, now in our 46th year! The event is scheduled for March 22 and 23, 2025, beginning with a competitors’ Conference Call at 7pm on Friday, March 21. On Saturday we will have the fleet events, followed by a party in the Pole Barn at Molly McGuire’s on Wilmington Island. On Sunday there will be a Pursuit Race with staggered starts, the goal being that ALL boats finish at the same time.
