International Film Poster Making Challenge under the World Audio-Visual Entertainment Summit (WAVES)

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, in collaboration with the National Film Development Corporation – National Film Archive of India (NFDC-NFAI) and Image Nation Street Art, is organizing the International Film Poster Making Challenge under the World Audio-Visual Entertainment Summit (WAVES). This initiative aims to celebrate India’s cinematic heritage on a global scale and foster creativity through poster-making, engaging artists and filmmakers worldwide.

The competition is now transcending borders and going international!

The challenge is a unique opportunity to create innovative and visually compelling reimagined film posters to celebrate and promote the rich film poster heritage of India. The participants will have to submit their Artwork by March 5th 2025. They can select one of the 10 films for their artwork, which are

1. Neecha Nagar (1946),

2. Pather Panchali (1955),

3. Mother India (1957),

4. Chemmeen (1965),

5. ⁠Pakeezah (1972),

6. Disco Dancer (1982),

7. Salaam Bombay! (1988), ⁠

8. Lagaan (2001),

9. Devdas (2002),

10. The Lunchbox (2013).
