Meet Melanie Nolan – City Editor for Savannah

Melanie Nolan is our PartyDigest correspondent for Savannah, GA. She covers events in the Savannah area.

Melanie has been a music teacher for over 25 years. While she was training young performers to express and develop their talents, she discovered she really enjoyed the tasks that her college education didn’t prepare her for at all. These included learning the art of adaptability while maintaining high standards and networking with musicians, parents and educators in order to develop and maintain arts in public education.

Although she was raised in New Jersey, Melanie always felt a deep connection when she visited the south, particularly Savannah.

“Everytime I would visit, it felt more like home than any other place I’ve been.”

After moving to the area full-time 5 years ago, she enjoys every opportunity to find a new place to eat, enjoy a long walk, reflect on the area’s history, or dance the night away with friends. When accompanied by her children, she loves watching them explore new places, especially art and history museums.

Melanie is beyond excited to bring out the Savannah edition of Party Digest. “There is always so much to discover here,” she says.  “I’m honored and committed to highlighting the people that make this area unique and magical.”
