Whoever said old age is a curse probably never met my family. My late wife of 50+ years, Guddi Kaur Vohra, looked after me very well and today I reap the benefits of her foundational guidance and meal prep to keep me lean and fit all these years (the secret of my success!)

Family means everything to me and what you sow you shall reap. I am happy to report that the next two generational crops are in good and safe hands of my two sons, Baljit Singh and Lakhinder Jit Singh, and my grandson, Jasmehar (Jaz) Jit Singh Vohra.

Never in a billion years could I have imagined what a wonderful Family Life I was able to enjoy and there is no better testimonial of this then the week of Christmas-New Years Eve of 2024 that my sons and grand son put together for me that was the cherry on the topping of my life.

I say that because my first visit to the United States was in 1992 at the age of 57 years. I began visiting the US regularly from 1992 to Now. Every visit got better and more memorable than the last!

So far in my lifetime, I have made 17 extended stay visits to the US - lasting an average of 4 months per visit.

Over the course of these visits I have visited 14 states and 21 cities on both coasts of the United States.

My memory may fade but our houses are all littered with pictures, souvenirs, and memorabilia from every single visit that constantly reminds me how far my family has come.

I am truly excited for the next generation of Vohras and I am proud to say that when I meet my ancestors in the other world, I will let them know that I left this Earth leaving the Vohra Family legacy in a better place than I inherited.
