Message from Lak Vohra, Founder, PartyDigest.com:

In my last 30 years as a business owner, I've had 4 very interesting accountants or CPAs or tax preparers (whatever you want to call them).

When I launched the company, we worked with Tina Bailey, a vivacious McLean, VA lady who I met at a party and she understood what I did in nano-seconds and by the time we were done she had been to dozens of parties and guided our start-up journey and also kicked out her hubby from her mansion and decided to spend her weekends with an affluent couple in Napa Valley! Still miss Tina...

Then came Roger Hefferan, a bearded goofball in Springfield, VA where we moved our offices and one fine morning I woke up to a $30,000 refund check from the IRS. "Roger the Dodger" was so good that he even helped put together all the documents that my company needed to send to the American Consulate in Mumbai, India so I could marry and bring in a young lady in her teens on a Fiance visa. By the time Roger was done so was my marriage and nobody ever knew what happened to Roger's brother who disappeared on a boat somewhere in the islands....

Enter John S. Gray of Lake Ridge, Virginia next to our mansion we had moved to in Prince William County. John was too busy chasing down the illegal massage parlors in his building complex and later too busy running for office that the yellow pages started listing his business "Vote for John Gray". Long story short: we got sent to the gallows and for years ended up getting audited by the IRS! Gray dropped us like a hot potato and sent us down a few blocks to a gorgeous Marine Corp wife.

Enter Mollie Galloway of Dominion Tax Services and she has stuck around my family for decades and does taxes for extended family members of mine.

When I moved to Florida, the hunt began and we ran into the subject of this article: Mr. Frank Tolford of Jackson Hewitt Associates who has been the Man of the Hour and our Man Friday ever since.

What struck me about Frank right from the first day I laid eyes on him was how gentle and astute and calm and funny he was - and still is!

He reads voraciously and even keeps a mobile book library in his car (see photo).

He is the OG!

And he has a passion for watches as you can see!.

Frank invited me to his beautiful Jax Beach office for Jackson-Hewitt one sunny morning last week.

We bonded over cigars, politics, his neighbors, among other things.

I left knowing that there are still good people in the world - and death and taxes are not the only inevitables - human connections in the world of AI are too!

His parting words to me that morning he wanted you to know are these:

"I have been working for Jackson Hewitt since 2003. I prepare individual, corporate, trust, and gift returns. I enjoy working with numbers and taxes I have been at the Jacksonville Beach location for a few years and I have worked in other locations in the Jacksonville area. I also have passed different IRS exams and have over 300 CE credits on taxes.

"I'm good and I make sure that I keep up with the tax code and any changes that may happen. If I don't know it I make sure that I research the code book and any updates."

In high season Frank is available by appointment only at 1019 3rd Street South Jax Beach near Sun Deli and Starbucks.

Get out of your chair and go meet Frank today and get your taxes done - and make a trusted friend your advisor for Life. You can e-mail him at frank.tolford@jtax.com or call the office at 904-572-3406.
